If your collection of recipes has run dry, it’s time to turn to Soviet classics, that is, to those dishes that today’s moms and dads ate in childhood.
One of the bright examples is cottage cheese and rice casserole with apple. Let's recall a forgotten recipe.
To prepare you will need:
- 200 g rice;
- 150 g cottage cheese;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 1 apple;
- a pinch of salt;
- powdered sugar.
How to cook
Use already boiled rice. You can use the one left over from lunch or dinner.
Mix cold rice with cottage cheese and add 1 chicken egg.
It is better to use a sweet and sour apple. Wash it, peel it and remove the core.
Grind on a coarse grater, add to the rice-curd mixture and mix.
You can also add vanilla, cinnamon and other spices.
Grease a baking dish with butter, spread the dough and bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
When ready, take it out, let it cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries.
Bon appetit!
