How to Peel a Kilogram of Potatoes in a Minute: The Drill Method

Potatoes are the basis for many amazing dishes, but before you can start cooking, you have to spend a lot of time peeling the tubers.

If you want to minimize the time it takes to peel potatoes, you will need the following tools:

  • drill;
  • new toilet brush;
  • bucket;
  • some water.

The most difficult thing with this cleaning method is probably to build a cleaning device.

To do this, you will need to use a hacksaw to cut off part of the brush handle (with the thickening), and then clamp the brush in the drill chuck.

After this, you can pour the potatoes into the bucket. It is most convenient if the volume of potatoes does not exceed half of the container.

Please note that it is not necessary to wash the vegetable.

Fill the bucket about 2/3 full with water, insert the brush into the middle of the bucket and turn the drill on to maximum.

Thanks to the hard bristles of the brush, the peelings will fly off the potatoes almost instantly: it will take you no more than a minute to clean them.

All that's left is to put the peeled tubers in a pot filled with water. Rinse them well, change the water and you can safely put them on the stove.
