People are divided into two types. The first ones like boiled dumplings, and the second ones prefer to fry them.
Korean version
Pelmeni are loved not only in the post-Soviet space. This dish has gained popularity in other countries as well. Even Koreans appreciated pelmeni, but they added an Asian touch to the cooking process.
Chefs don't just fry them, they do it with a special sauce. Thanks to it, the dish turns out juicier, more tender, but still retains a crispy crust.
Ingredients
The list of products consists of:
- 500 g frozen dumplings;
- 1 onion;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil;
- 30 ml soy sauce;
- 2 tbsp. wine vinegar;
- 100 ml of water;
- salt and black pepper (ground).
How to make Korean style dumplings
1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, then put the dumplings in. Fry them on each side until golden brown – about 5 minutes.
2. Pour in soy sauce and water. Then add salt and black pepper. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes.
3. Place the fried dumplings on a plate and season with a mixture of vinegar, pressed garlic and onion. The finished dish can be sprinkled with sesame seeds.
