But this treat was prepared not only in the USSR. The dessert is common in many countries, including Italy.

Chef Sebastian Fitaro cooks for a Milanese restaurant and shares simple recipes for famous dishes on his microblog.

In Milan, the dessert is called "chocolate salami." Fitaro prepares the dessert without eggs and alcohol, so this treat is suitable for children.

Ingredients

To prepare the dessert you will need:

  • soft butter – 150 g;
  • powdered sugar – 150 g;
  • dark chocolate – 160 g;
  • chocolate with hazelnuts – 100 g;
  • dry biscuits – 150 g.

How to make chocolate sausage

1. First, prepare the chocolate: melt it in a water bath.

2. Cut the butter into small pieces. Place the product in a bowl, then add powdered sugar. Mix the ingredients with a spatula.

3. The cookies are coarsely crushed by hand and added to the sugar and butter mixture. The mixture is then topped with melted chocolate.

4. Mix the ingredients until a homogeneous mass is formed.

5. Place the resulting mixture on cling film.

6. Raise the edges of the film and shape the mixture into a salami. Press down well and then twist the ends.

7. Leave the dessert in the refrigerator for 3 hours. The treat should harden.

8. At the final stage, the dessert is sprinkled with powdered sugar. If a layer of excess powder has formed, it is removed to form the standard external texture of salami.

9. The frozen dessert is cut into slices and served with tea.
