How to cook baked meat with cheese and tomatoes: a beautiful recipe for a festive table

The dish is easy to prepare, and the result is a bright, beautiful treat that all guests will appreciate.

First, the meat is marinated with mustard and a number of other ingredients, and then several simple products are placed into the cuts, which will provide an exquisite taste and juiciness to the dish.

Ingredients

The list of products consists of:

  • pork – 1 kg;
  • cheese (hard) – 200 g;
  • tomatoes – 2 pcs.;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • salt and black pepper (ground).

List of products for the marinade:

  • soy sauce – 3 tbsp;
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
  • mustard – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • olive oil – 3 tbsp.

How to prepare the dish

1. Wash and dry the pork. Then make transverse cuts 1 cm wide on the meat, cutting 0.5 cm to the end.

2. The marinade is prepared very simply: mix all the ingredients and you can also add salt and pepper.

3. The meat is coated with marinade on all sides. Then the meat is put in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

4. Tomatoes, cheese and garlic are cut into thin slices.

5. Place the pork on a double sheet of foil in a baking dish. Place cheese, tomatoes, and garlic in the cuts.

The meat is wrapped in foil and the edges are raised upwards. To prevent the juice from leaking out during baking, the foil is pressed tightly against the meat from all sides.

6. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and bake the meat for 60 minutes. After an hour, remove the top foil and bake for about 20 more minutes until golden brown.

Useful tips

The finished meat is decorated with herbs: dill, parsley, basil or rosemary.

For better taste, chefs recommend marinating the meat overnight rather than for 3 hours.

It is also important to choose the right tomatoes. They should be ripe but firm. When cut, the tomatoes should not "creep".
