Carrot pancakes open up space for culinary experiments that are within everyone's power.
This dish can be prepared from any carrot, but it is especially aromatic and juicy when made from young root vegetables.
If you add raisins or dried apricots to the dough, you can serve dessert. Salty cheese will turn pancakes into a main dish. And if you replace one carrot with potato, you can serve such pancakes with mushroom sauce.
The list of ingredients for pancakes consists of:
- carrots – 2 pcs.;
- chicken egg – 1 pc.;
- semolina – 1.5 tbsp;
- vegetable oil – 40 ml;
- salt – to taste.
How to make carrot pancakes
1. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Add semolina, egg and a pinch of salt. Then mix the ingredients thoroughly.
2. Place a frying pan with vegetable oil on the fire.
3. When the frying pan is well heated, put the prepared mixture on the frying pan. For this, use a tablespoon. With its help, form neat round pancakes, which are fried on both sides until golden brown.
4. Then the fried pancakes are transferred to a baking dish and placed in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees. The pancakes are cooked for another 8-10 minutes.
5. You can serve carrot pancakes with sour cream.
