The liquid seasoning is prepared in minutes, but easily surpasses many store-bought options.
Products:
- walnuts – 150 g;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- cilantro (or parsley) - a small bunch;
- lemon juice – 1 teaspoon;
- Imeretian saffron – 1 teaspoon;
- utskho-suneli (or khmeli-suneli) – 1 teaspoon;
- ground coriander – 1 teaspoon;
- water – 50-100 ml;
- salt.
How to prepare
1. To make the sauce even tastier, cooks recommend roasting walnuts. But this step can be skipped. Walnuts are ground in a blender.
2. Mix the nuts with lemon juice, saffron, utskho-suneli (khmeli-suneli), coriander and salt.
3. Add garlic, cilantro (parsley), water to the blender bowl and blend the ingredients until smooth.
The result should be a thick, aromatic and very rich sauce that will complement almost any dinner or make shashlik even more delicious.
