There is a popular belief that political elites eat very differently from ordinary people. In culinary blogs, you can find recipes from personal chefs of sovereign emperors and Soviet general secretaries.

An example is the recipe for shashlik that was prepared for Comrade Stalin.

Contrary to popular belief, no exotic products are required to prepare shashlik according to this recipe.

Even in times of shortages, they could be obtained if one only showed some activity.

But it is worth remembering that the shashlik recipe is not even 50% of success. After all, the ideal marinade can be ruined by an inept hand that will cook meat on coals.

To prepare you will need:

  • lamb meat (necessarily 2 weeks old);
  • onions;
  • kefir;
  • dry white wine;
  • salt,
  • pepper.

How to cook

As you can see, no vinegar or exotic or Mediterranean spices.

After cutting the carcass, the meat was first marinated in a mixture of wine and onions.

The workpiece was put in a cool place and left for several hours.

About an hour before cooking the meat, kefir was added to the marinade.

Consumption is 0.5 liters per 1 kilogram of meat. Salt and pepper are added to the marinade 30 minutes before the meat is on the coals. The rest is a matter of technique and talent.

Bon appetit!
