How to cook stuffed chicken drumsticks in garlic caramel: an original and delicious dish

There are hundreds of recipes in which this product is the main ingredient.

For example, housewives prepare chicken drumsticks, stuffing them with mushrooms and cheese. And complement the dish with garlic caramel.

The list of products for 4 servings consists of:

  • drumsticks - packaging;
  • champignons – 500 g;
  • onion – 1 head;
  • cheese (hard) – 150 g;
  • soy sauce – 100 ml;
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • honey – 50 g;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • sunflower oil – for frying;
  • salt and pepper – to taste.

How to prepare stuffed drumsticks

1. First, carefully cut the meat off the bone. The skin should remain intact.

2. The chicken is minced using a meat grinder or knife. After that, the meat is salted and peppered to taste.

3. Finely chop the champignons and fry them in a frying pan. Use a small amount of oil for this. Fry the chopped onion together with the mushrooms. Keep both ingredients on the fire for 10 minutes.

4. Grate the cheese and then mix it with chicken, mushrooms and onions.

5. Stuff the drumsticks with the resulting mince. The dish will look neat after baking if you fasten the drumsticks with a toothpick.

6. Place the drumsticks in a baking dish and then move on to preparing the sauce.

7. Mix salt, pepper, honey, olive oil and soy sauce. Add chopped garlic. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and then pour the sauce over the stuffed drumsticks.

8. Cook the dish for 40 minutes at 180 °C. Then remove the pan from the oven, turn each piece over and put it back. Increase the temperature to 200 °C. Bake until the sauce caramelizes (≈10 minutes).

9. Remove the dish from the oven, let it “rest” for 15 minutes, and then serve with fresh herbs.
