In 2023, Orthodox Christians will celebrate Easter on April 16, and Catholics on April 9.

One of the traditions of the religious holiday is the preparation of Easter cakes, which are covered with sweet icing.

Many housewives prepare this treat themselves. But sometimes there are problems with the glaze: it crumbles, sticks, or takes on an unsightly shade.

Experienced cooks shared a recipe that will make the perfect glaze.

  • powdered sugar – 100 g;
  • gelatin – 1 teaspoon;
  • water – 4 tablespoons (2 tablespoons for gelatin, 2 tablespoons for powdered sugar).

How to prepare

1. Place the gelatin in a bowl and add room temperature water. Leave the mixture for 20 minutes to swell.

2. Pour powdered sugar into a saucepan and add water. Stir until smooth.

3. Place the saucepan on the fire and cook until it boils, stirring constantly. When the first bubbles appear, remove the container from the stove.
