Most cake recipes scare housewives who are not eager to bother with preparing dessert.

However, there are cake preparation options that don't mention dough, oven or cake layers. An example is "Smetannik".

The list of products consists of:

  • chocolate cookies (shortbread) – 300 gr.;
  • butter – 300 gr.;
  • milk – 1.5 tbsp. l.;
  • sour cream (20% fat) – 400 ml;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • sugar – 150 gr.;
  • wheat flour – 50 gr.;
  • vanilla sugar – 2 tsp.

Preparation

1. Preparation of the dessert begins with the cream. In a small saucepan, combine four ingredients: sour cream, eggs, flour and sugar.

2. Place the mixture on the stove and bring to a boil over low heat. It is important to stir the mixture continuously during the process. When it boils, cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from the stove and let the cream cool.

3. Next comes the Smetannik base. For this, crush the cookies and combine them with 150 g of butter and milk. Two-thirds of the resulting mixture is compacted in a detachable baking pan to form the bottom and sides. The preparation is placed in the refrigerator.

4. Beat the remaining 150 g of butter with vanilla sugar and mix with the cooled cream. Then use the mixer again to bring the ingredients to a homogeneous mass.

5. Next, take the mold out of the refrigerator. Fill the cake with cream and sprinkle the remaining cookies on top.

6. Then the cake is put back into the refrigerator. After 5 hours, the form is removed and the dessert is served on the table.
