Often, potato pancakes fall apart during frying or stick tightly to the surface of the pan.

Experienced housewives shared a little trick that will help you prepare the perfect potato dish.

Tricks for cooking potato pancakes

1. Potato pancakes are cooked in a well-heated frying pan. You can use water to find out if the surface is hot enough.

A couple of drops of water are enough for this. If the oil sizzles and starts to "run", then you can put the dough in.

2. It is better to cook potato pancakes in a frying pan with a non-stick coating. If you don’t have one, you definitely need to heat up the vegetable oil.

3. On one side, fry the potato pancakes without a lid until golden brown (≈2 min). After turning, cover with a lid and reduce the heat. In this case, they will have time to “set”, but will not stick to the surface of the pan.
