Many housewives choose to make shortbread cookies for at least two reasons - a tasty treat and a minimum of ingredients.
The excellent combination of advantages of this dessert is supported by a simple recipe that takes about 30 minutes.
The secret ingredient of the treat is table salt, which gives the cookies that very taste.
The list of products consists of:
- flour – 300 gr.;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- sugar – 50 g;
- unsalted butter – 150 g.
Preparation
1. You can prepare the oven and baking tray right away. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cover the baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine 3 ingredients: flour, sugar and salt.
3. Rub the butter into the mixture with your fingers until the dough takes on a sandy texture.
4. Next, the dough is carefully kneaded until it forms a large lump.
5. Then the dough is placed on a baking sheet and rolled out. Sugar and salt are sprinkled on top, and the dough is pierced in several places with a fork.
6. The next step is to choose the shape of the cookies. You can simply cut them into wedges with a knife or use special molds.
7. Bake the dessert for 30 minutes until it becomes golden brown. Serve with tea with jam, peanut butter or chocolate paste.
