Schnitzel is a popular dish in Austria and Germany that is similar to cutlets. But schnitzel has its own secret - triple breading.
The appetizing crust, like a case, covers the meat, preventing the juice from leaking out.
The list of ingredients consists of:
- pork (fillet) – 0.5 kg;
- flour – 150 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs.;
- breadcrumbs – 150 g;
- salts;
- black pepper (ground);
- vegetable oil – 4 tablespoons.
Preparation
1. The fillet is cut to make neat steaks. The thickness of the meat pieces should not exceed 1 cm.
2. The pork is beaten with a special hammer, salted and peppered.
3. Flour, bread crumbs and beaten eggs are placed in different plates. The meat is dipped in the following order: flour, eggs, bread crumbs.
4. Place the meat in a frying pan and fry on both sides until golden brown. Then move the schnitzel to a baking tray and place in the oven, preheated to 180 °C, for 7 minutes.
