For many years, freezing has been one of the simplest, most reliable and safest storage methods.
This option is also suitable for champignons.
However, this process should be approached with full responsibility, because the slightest violation in the technology is fraught with spoilage of the product.
So, before storing mushrooms, it is worth wiping them with a damp cotton cloth.
Of course, you can wash the mushrooms, but in this case you should be prepared for the fact that after such a procedure they will become watery, and freezing will give them such a quality as brittleness and lead to a loss of taste.
Not cleaning the mushrooms is not an option, as contamination can cause them to spoil prematurely.
Cleaned mushrooms should be cut or placed whole in plastic containers or zip-lock bags.
The shelf life of mushrooms depends on the temperature in the freezer. At -18 degrees, champignons will last up to a year, if the temperature is -20 and below - up to a year and a half.
