There is one simple option to noticeably diversify and improve the taste of mashed potatoes. In this case, it is generally recommended to add fried onions.

To prepare you will need:
per kilogram of potatoes:
- 200 ml milk;
- 50 ml cream;
- 140 g butter;
- 1-2 medium heads of garlic;
- 20 g flour;
- herbs, salt - to taste.
How to cook
First, everything is as usual. Wash, peel and boil the potatoes, and 5 minutes before they are ready, add salt to the water.
While the potatoes are boiling, steam the garlic by throwing it in a colander in its husk and holding it over boiling water for 1-2 minutes (you can do it directly over the potatoes).
Then we clean it, cut it finely with a knife, fry it in butter over low heat for 15-20 minutes, then mash it with a fork or other convenient method, add flour, stir and pour in heated milk.
Mash the boiled potatoes into a puree, add butter, cream and the prepared milk-garlic sauce.
Mix and serve, garnished with herbs.
