Many cooks like to experiment with familiar recipes, either to reduce the calorie content of dishes, or to create something new.

In terms of such innovations, the leaders are syrniki, which are baked by some with semolina, and by others with oatmeal, just so as not to add flour.

We'll tell you how to make cheesecakes with oatmeal.

To prepare you will need:

  • 5 tbsp oatmeal;
  • 200 g cottage cheese;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1 tbsp sugar;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • vanillin, cinnamon (to taste and desire);
  • vegetable oil for frying.

How to cook

Cheesecakes prepared according to this recipe can be called dietary.

Take the long-cooking flakes. Add 3 tablespoons to the dough, and leave the rest for breading.

Grind them in a blender, coffee grinder or meat grinder.

We choose dry, moderately crumbly cottage cheese with a fat content of 5-9%.

If you rub the cottage cheese through a metal sieve or grind it with a blender, the syrniki will turn out especially soft and tender.

Mix cottage cheese, some of the crushed oatmeal and egg.

You don't have to add sugar - you can serve the syrniki with jam or condensed milk later. A little salt won't hurt to enhance the taste. Add vanilla or cinnamon to taste, mix until smooth.

Let the dough sit for 10-15 minutes so that the excess liquid is absorbed into the oatmeal. Form the cheesecakes, bread them in the remaining flakes and fry the blanks in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil.

Bon appetit!
