Among them is mayonnaise, which can be found in any kitchen. Experienced cooks and ordinary housewives argue whether it is possible to heat mayonnaise.

There is an opinion that after exposure to temperature this product becomes dangerous to health.

Housewives have a logical question: "How then to cook meat in French? What to marinate chicken in? And what to do with potatoes?"

Experienced cooks have one answer to the question about mayonnaise - you can't heat it. The product separates in the oven and loses its original taste.

But this is not the only problem. The main nuance concerns health. When mayonnaise is heated to 100 °C and above, harmful substances are released, including carcinogens.

That's why chefs recommend using mayonnaise only cold. An exception may be mayonnaise prepared at home. But it all depends on the ingredients. For example, a product with added mustard is not recommended to be heated.
