Tsybulniki are prepared almost like potato pancakes, but without the main ingredient – potatoes.
In the recipe, it will be replaced with onion. Skeptics will exclaim that such a dish is very bitter. But just a few simple ingredients will make tsibuliniki an excellent alternative to potato pancakes.
Ingredients:
- onions – 1 large onion;
- chicken eggs – 2 pcs.;
- flour – 1 tablespoon;
- soda – ½ teaspoon;
- apple cider vinegar (lemon juice) – ½ teaspoon;
- salt and pepper (to taste);
- vegetable oil – for frying.
Step by step preparation
1. Chop the onion finely, then sprinkle with salt and leave to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
2. Next, add flour and quench the soda with vinegar or lemon juice. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
3. Preheat the pan with oil and then cook like regular potato pancakes.
You can serve tsibuliniki with sour cream and greens. This dish is also prepared for borscht. You can also add minced meat, for example, pork, to the dough before frying.
