Many parents consider soups to be an irreplaceable and, of course, useful “element” of children’s nutrition.
This opinion probably arose because this dish contains a whole range of products necessary for a child’s body, namely vegetables, cereals and meat.
But it is not always possible to include soup carefully prepared by a mother in a child’s diet.
What soups are suitable for young children
If we talk about children who are not yet three years old, then they can be given soups with vegetable broth with the addition of meat puree, hash or pieces of meat, vegetable oil and vegetables.
But you should wait with soups cooked in meat broth.
The reason is that such dishes contain a lot of extractive substances. They, in turn, can harm the child's still immature excretory system.
Fish soup, like other fish dishes, is recommended to be given to a child once or twice a week.
Please note: if we are talking about very small children – those who are not yet one year old – you should first introduce them to pureed soups.
Gradually change the degree of chopping of vegetables and meat included in the soup. A dish containing chopped vegetables and meat can be given by three years.
And the last thing I would like to say on this matter. Vegetables, meat and other soup dressing options can be steamed, boiled or baked. "Frying" and spices are not allowed.
