Homemade deodorant recipes typically use baking soda. However, this is not a good option for sensitive skin, as this ingredient can irritate the skin.
In this regard, we are sharing with you instructions for making a deodorant without soda: it does not disrupt the natural acidity of the skin and, accordingly, does not cause redness, itching and discomfort.
First of all, prepare the necessary ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (there is a version with shea butter, but it is not as effective),
- 1.5 teaspoons of candelilla wax (can be replaced with beeswax, but in double the volume),
- 1 tablespoon tapioca starch (arrowroot powder can be used)
- 20-30 drops of essential oil.
In general, the most difficult stage is over – everything from now on is as easy as pie.
Melt the candelilla wax and add coconut oil to it. Stir the mixture until the oil is completely melted.
Remove the container from the heat and immediately add the essential oils inside, then stir again.
All that's left to do is add starch to the other ingredients and beat the mixture.
All that remains is to pour the future deodorant into a mold (it is better to prepare it in advance) and leave it to harden – this takes about two hours.
