New Year is almost here. And what is one of our traditional and favorite decorations for the holiday table?
That's right, tangerines. But, alas, due to the specifics of these citrus fruits, not all people can eat them.
The fact is, experts explain, that tangerines are rich in fiber, carbohydrates and vitamins, so they can be harmful to a certain category of citizens.
They are especially dangerous for those who have digestive problems, as well as for those suffering from diabetes or allergies.
For example, if there is something wrong with the stomach, then tangerine juice (it contains acid) can lead to gastritis and ulcers.
Due to the high amount of sugar in citrus fruits, their excessive consumption can cause serious problems for people with diabetes.
It is also advisable for those who have allergies to refrain from such a delicacy.
However, according to nutritionists, if tangerines are eaten in reasonable quantities, they will not cause harm.
