Often girls (and men too) face the problem of hair getting dirty quickly – it seems that a greasy shine appears literally a couple of hours after washing your hair.
Don't blame your shampoo or styling products—dermatologist and MD Lindsay Zubritzky shares possible causes.
A dirty comb is used
It's likely that you wash your hairbrush less often than necessary.
A lot of oil, and bacteria, accumulates on the teeth or bristles of your hairbrush, and it all comes back to your strands every time you brush your hair.
You should wash your hairbrush at least once a week.
Hair "doesn't breathe" at night
Some habits, such as braiding your hair before bed or putting something on your head before going to bed, mean that the oils produced by your scalp have nowhere to go.
As a result, the oil remains on your hair, and after sleep you get out of bed with an oily head.
Oils are used incorrectly
If you use oils in your hair care routine, remember to apply them only to the ends.
Once they reach the roots of your hair, they will instantly make your strands greasy, so make every effort to keep the oils away from your scalp.
