Each care product has its own characteristics, so when using a hair mask, the first thing you should do is read the instructions included.
If you did not find any explanations on the packaging about how to apply the mask to your hair, use the following rules – they are universal.
First, wash your hair and then pat it dry with a towel – it’s important that the strands remain slightly damp.
Don't forget to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty, and you can throw an old towel over your shoulders.
Thick hair should be divided into strands before applying the mask. The most convenient way to do this is with small hairpins. Owners of less luxurious hair are luckier in this regard - they do not need this step.
Apply the product to your hair using your fingers or a special brush, and to distribute it evenly, go over it with a wide-toothed comb.
The product should be gently rubbed into the hair for 30 seconds, moving from top to bottom and trying to cover the entire length of the hair.
The mask should be kept on for as long as the manufacturer recommends – usually 20-30 minutes, but sometimes all night. You can wrap a towel over it or put on a cap.
When the time is up, the remains of the composition must be washed off with cool or warm water. Hot water is not recommended, as it causes increased dryness.
It is necessary to rinse your hair thoroughly until all mask residue is removed.
