How to dress to avoid mosquito bites: Not only the cut, but also the color of the clothes is important

Such annoying insects as mosquitoes can seriously spoil your mood.

However, there are several simple ways to avoid bites from "bloodsuckers." One of them is choosing the right clothes.

Scientists from the University of Washington have come to the conclusion that mosquitoes are more willing to sting people wearing clothes of certain colors.

Researchers have found that these insects smell carbon dioxide and other substances that humans release when they breathe. These substances affect the mosquitoes' olfactory system, stimulating their visual perception. As a result, the mosquitoes' eyes begin to look for color objects associated with the source of carbon dioxide and smell, and move toward them.

If you don't want to be bitten, don't wear mosquito-loving red, orange, black, or cyan-colored clothing.

You will be safe in clothes in shades of purple, blue, white and green – blood-sucking insects are indifferent to them.

In addition, when putting together a "look" for a promenade, it is recommended to choose loose clothing. Leggings do cover your legs well, but too tight clothing makes it easier for mosquitoes.

It is better to choose loose-fitting clothes and wear several layers of clothing, such as a T-shirt, shirt and windbreaker. Such barriers effectively repel mosquitoes.
