Belarusian scientists have created a new remedy for hangover syndrome. It is based on vitamins and antioxidants.
The drug is currently undergoing the final stage of clinical trials.
The Minsk-Novosti agency reports this, noting that this product is a biologically active food supplement.
The authors of the development were employees of the Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The preparation contains succinic acid, caffeine, vitamins B, A and C, zinc, magnesium and iron.
Olga Gorchakova, head of the research and production department of the preclinical and experimental research department, says that the development can be used not only as a means of combating hangovers.
Succinic acid, which is present in the preparation, enhances metabolism and removes toxins from the body.
Therefore, the new product can be taken in case of food poisoning, respiratory and other infections.
It will help relieve intoxication syndrome and speed up recovery, the specialist noted.
In addition, the drug can also be beneficial to a healthy person. For example, it will invigorate tired people and "help them come to their senses."
But it should be kept in mind that the product has tonic properties and it is better to use it in the first half of the day, Gorchakova warned.
