Depilation is the most accessible and fastest way to remove body hair.
It doesn’t matter which method you choose: waxing, sugaring, depilatory creams or shaving – they all have a negative effect on the skin, causing damage, inflammation, dryness and other problems.
Therefore, if you want to enjoy smooth skin for a long time, take care of the depilated areas properly.
5 "don'ts" after depilation
During the day after the procedure, you should not neglect these simple rules, because at this time the injured skin becomes very sensitive.
Avoid steaming your skin
After depilation, you cannot take hot baths or visit saunas. It is also not recommended to swim in the pool, as chlorine can cause irritation. It is better to postpone swimming in open water until the next day, as the water there is not clean enough.
Give up sports
Sweating increases the risk of pore infection, which can lead to inflammation. If you do sweat, take a cool shower (not a bath).
Don't wear synthetics
Avoid wearing synthetic underwear and tight clothing, as they can chafe sensitive skin and slow down the recovery of the epidermis due to lack of oxygen. After depilation, wear cotton underwear and loose, breathable clothing.
Don't use deodorant
Avoid applying deodorant to the depilated areas, especially immediately after the procedure, as this may cause irritation, itching and dry skin.
Don't sunbathe
Avoid exposing your skin to direct sunlight, as sunbathing can cause inflammation and even burns on the skin after depilation.
