In general, to care for oily scalp, it is recommended to follow the following tips.
1. Use shampoos that are suitable for daily use and designed for oily scalp. They contain components that help balance sebum secretion, cleanse and protect the skin from drying out.
2. Once every 10-14 days, use deep cleansing shampoos with special acids to remove dead skin flakes and prevent the growth of bacteria.
3. Avoid using too hot water when washing your hair, as it stimulates the sebaceous glands. Try to get a water softener filter – it will come in handy if your tap water is hard.
4. Wash your scalp thoroughly with shampoo, but don’t apply it to the hair shaft – the length of the hair should be sufficient for the foam to flow down from the roots when washed out.
5. Do not apply masks and balms to the roots of your hair – such actions, as a rule, only increase the oiliness of your hair.
6. Limit the use of styling products.
7. Monitor your diet by reducing sugar intake and increasing the amount of protein and greens in your diet.
