From January 1 next year, the transport tax will increase in Belarus.
This is provided for by amendments made to the Tax Code.
They are published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
How the transport tax will increase in 2025
The transport tax depends on the permitted maximum weight of the vehicle.
If such data is not available, the minimum rate for the relevant vehicle type is paid.
The innovation will affect both individuals and organizations.
An individual will have to pay 70 rubles for a passenger car with a permitted maximum weight of no more than 1.5 tons.
For a passenger car weighing no more than 1.75 tons, you will have to pay 92 rubles, no more than 2 tons - 116 rubles, no more than 2.25 tons - 138 rubles, no more than 2.5 tons - 161 rubles, no more than 3 tons - 183 rubles, more than 3 tons - 253 rubles.
For a truck, tractor, or cargo-passenger vehicle weighing no more than 2.5 tons, the rate for individuals will be 183 rubles, no more than 3.5 tons – 391 rubles, no more than 12 tons – 507 rubles, more than 12 tons – 575 rubles.
An individual will have to pay 46 rubles for a motorcycle.
