On December 25, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate launched a campaign in Belarus titled “There is no place for a drunk or disenfranchised person on the road.”
Preventive measures will last until January 8 inclusive.
In regions with unfavorable traffic conditions, the special traffic police unit "Strela" will be deployed.

During the holiday season, the risk of accidents caused by drunk drivers increases.
In connection with this, the State Traffic Inspectorate is holding a campaign throughout the country from December 25 to January 8: “There is no place for a drunk or disenfranchised person on the road!”
As part of the campaign, control over compliance with traffic rules by both drivers and pedestrians has been strengthened, including in places of mass celebrations.
The campaign also includes special events “Web” and “Filter” and an exchange of traffic police units from the bordering districts.
In regions with the most unfavourable road conditions, the Strela will be used.
In addition, special attention is paid to the rules for the safe transportation of passengers, especially children.
After all, along with the holidays, winter holidays begin for schoolchildren, the State Traffic Inspectorate reminded.
The State Traffic Inspectorate calls on parents to remind their children of the rules of conduct on the road.
Drivers are advised to be more vigilant when crossing pedestrian crossings and moving through courtyards.
