The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk Region will tighten control over taxi drivers from November 26 to December 6.
The Transport Inspection of the Ministry of Transport and Communications will be involved.

How control over taxi drivers will be strengthened
As reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate, the upcoming preventive measure is aimed at reducing the number of violations by taxi drivers, improving road safety, preventing accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences.
As part of the event, traffic police officers will monitor taxi drivers' compliance with traffic regulations on a daily basis.
Particular attention will be paid to preventing violations such as speeding, drunk/unlicensed driving, failure to give way to pedestrians, and driving in oncoming traffic.
The traffic police will also check the condition of the vehicles, the presence of a technical inspection, compliance with the rules for the safe transportation of passengers (the number of passengers corresponds to the number of seats, the use of seat belts, etc.).
