The Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus spoke about planned innovations in the payment of transport tax on premium cars.
This issue was highlighted at a press conference on November 5 by the head of the Main Directorate of Taxation of Individuals of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, Andrey Kovalevsky.

What innovations in the payment of transport tax on premium cars are expected
The increased transport tax in Belarus was introduced this year. Since individuals pay taxes at the end of the year, the transport tax at increased rates will be paid for the first time next year.
Kovalevsky recalled that owners of premium cars, which were produced no more than 3 years ago, pay transport tax at rates that are 10 times higher.
The list of luxury cars is determined by the Council of Ministers. According to the March resolution of the Council of Ministers, the list includes the entire model range of Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Porsche, Aurus, Lamborghini, Bentley, McLaren, Maserati, Bugatti, Ferrari, some models of Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Toyota, BMW, Land Rover, Cadillac, Lexus.
According to the calculations of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, this regulation will affect just over 1,000 car owners.
The possibility of adjusting the legislation is currently being considered: it is proposed to indicate not only brands and models, but also the number of years since production.
Today the criterion is 3 years. But a larger gradation is planned, since we understand that a certain premium class only becomes more expensive over time, not cheaper, - said the representative of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties.
He clarified that this would affect the transport tax for next year, which must be paid in 2026.
