The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Minsk region reminds about the confiscation of vehicles for late payment of fines.
Thus, on October 14, 4 vehicles were seized from debtors from the Minsk region who were brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving and who did not pay fines on time to pay off the debt.
The amount of fines collected was about 13,000 rubles, the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee reported on Telegram.
What happens if you don't pay a fine on time?
You have 30 days to pay the fine after the decision to impose an administrative penalty comes into force.
If there is no data on payment of the fine within the specified period, 2 base units are automatically added to the fine.
Then the decision to collect the fine is sent to the place where the salary and equivalent income were received.
If there is no official income, a bailiff comes to the offender.
He has the right to seize property and vehicles, restrict driving privileges, disconnect mobile communications, temporarily prohibit hunting, etc.
