Dark clothing is a staple in many people's wardrobes.
This is because dark wardrobe items look stylish and impressive, but there is one problem: after washing, such items fade and lose their color saturation.
However, if you follow simple rules when washing, you can avoid this problem.
To keep your favorite items bright longer, sort your clothes by color. It's not just about separating whites from darks when you wash them - wash black, navy, deep red, and dark green separately.
If the water you wash your clothes in is hot, the dyes will quickly wash out of the fabric and the clothes themselves will shrink in size. Cold liquid, on the contrary, does not harm the intensity of the color and thus prolongs the life of a dark wardrobe.
If you use a dryer, use a low heat setting. If possible, avoid using a dryer altogether and let your clothes dry naturally by hanging them in a well-ventilated area.
Thanks to such products, the risk of damage to the fabric during washing is minimized. Before placing dark clothes in the bag, do not forget to turn them inside out. As a result, you will be able to reduce friction between things, the upper surface of the fabric will be protected from wear and tear, and the color will retain its saturation.
