An unpleasant smell in an apartment is a fairly common problem that many housewives have to deal with.
It can occur in the kitchen because of the trash can, in the bathroom because of the toilet.
However, the most common source of a real stench is the refrigerator: it is enough to leave food unattended for a short time, and it will begin to spoil, emitting a stench that cannot be eliminated even with the help of special means.
If you have encountered a similar problem, you should act as follows.
First of all, figure out the cause of the unpleasant smell. If it is spoiled food, then it should be thrown away, but if something has spilled on the shelves of the refrigerator, it should be wiped with a vinegar solution.
After this, start making your own flavoring from the materials at hand.
You will need rosemary, cinnamon or lavender essential oil, a few drops of which should be mixed with a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Soak cotton pads in the resulting solution and place them on the shelves.
Another quite effective method is to place a plate of baking soda or crushed activated charcoal tablets in the refrigerator.
Both of these products are absorbents that quickly absorb unpleasant odors.
