Not every family even cooks millet porridge, despite its many beneficial properties.
The thing is that for many people the dish turns out bitter.
Of course, you can't call such porridge appetizing. However, the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" on culinary issues, chef Yulia Arkhipova, revealed the secret of how to cook the dish correctly.
In this case, you can forget about bitterness forever.
First, we measure out the amount of cereal we need and start washing the product. The process should be as high-quality as possible.
After this, bring a kettle of water to a boil and pour it over the product.
Then we put the millet in a saucepan. For one part of the main product, take 2.5 times more water. Wait until the water boils. After that, add salt and sugar. Adjust the amount of components depending on your taste preferences.
Wait for it to boil again. Cook the porridge for 20 minutes. It is better not to leave the stove to be able to stir the dish.
Then you need to keep the prepared millet porridge under the lid for a quarter of an hour and add a piece of butter.
