One of the topics that gardeners like to argue about is the fight against moles. Some believe that the animal does not cause harm to cultivated plants, others disagree.
One way or another, most people prefer that moles stay away from their areas and do not spoil the lawns with their burrows.
1. If moles have appeared on your property, it means that they are comfortable with you – at least there is a food source.
Therefore, if there are a lot of insects in the garden or vegetable garden, you need to deal with them first.
While not everyone wants to use chemicals against moles, insects are usually not treated with ceremony.
2. Like all rodents, moles have a well-developed sense of smell and react acutely to odors.
These can be preparations based on castor oil, plants or technical liquids.
In the latter case, rags are usually soaked in kerosene or other liquids and then buried in mole holes.
3. Another way is to use industrial repellents or create barriers, but this method requires time and effort.
There is an opinion that predators can scare away moles. But often birds that hunt rodents and other underground inhabitants prefer to stay away from people.
