Gardeners often encounter snakes on their plots. Most often, the reptiles settle in compost pits.

Of course, living next to snakes does not bode well. Therefore, it is necessary to get rid of them immediately.

But this must be done extremely carefully, using the safest methods.

If you encounter a reptile, you should never approach it, try to scare it, or catch it.

You need to slowly move away from it, trying to move very smoothly. Then, putting on protective clothing (high rubber boots, thick trousers), create as much noise as possible.

For example, start chopping wood nearby or mowing the grass with a lawn mower. Snakes do not like loud sounds and therefore immediately crawl away.

To prevent the “neighbors” from returning, the entire area of the plot should be thoroughly cleaned, cleared of debris, grass deposits and leaves.

The compost pit should be sprinkled with lime, and several homemade rattles made from empty tin cans should be installed around the perimeter of the area.

The noise they make will keep away unwanted guests all season long.
