You should not hide money in the following places:
• in books or old shoe boxes - it would take a thief less than five minutes to empty out the entire contents of a bookcase;
• in chests of drawers, closets, under the mattress or in pillows;
• behind carpets, paintings, mirrors and other decorative interior items;
• in the system unit of a computer and other household appliances - thieves may not even realize that there is money inside, but there is a high probability that they will take the equipment with them for further sale.
Where does it make sense to keep savings
To understand where it is best to store money and other small valuables, you need to study the psychology of robbers.
Experience shows that when an intruder enters a house, the first thing he does is search the places that are at his eye level.
If the owner of the apartment wants to protect his funds, it is better for him to choose hiding places in the most inconvenient places for a thief.
It is worth hiding money in the following places:
• inside the cornice - bills can be rolled into a tube and inserted into the hollow tube;
• in an additional compartment of a construction tool or among various small objects - you can sprinkle the envelope with money with screws and nails;
• in containers from paints and varnishes, shampoos, cosmetics;
• behind heavy objects that attackers will not move due to the risk of raising the noise level and attracting unnecessary attention;
• on the balcony - thieves try not to go out onto the balcony so as not to be seen by accidental witnesses.
The situation with safes is ambiguous. There is no point in installing a bulky or small portable safe.
The first one costs a lot of money and can still be broken into by professional burglars in a short time, while the small one they will simply take with them.
The only acceptable safe option that has proven its effectiveness is a secret safe.
They are disguised as wall sockets, mounted in door panels as hinges, or even look like a stone at the bottom of an aquarium.
