The first reason
As the biologist noted, it is necessary to wash new things because other people could have tried them on. And it is unknown what diseases these people were diagnosed with.
The second reason
An equally serious reason is the removal of chemicals that manufacturers use to treat materials.
It is also believed that pesticides may remain on new clothes after cotton is processed.
The naked eye cannot detect any contamination on the fabric that may have settled on it on the way from the manufacturer to the point of sale.
Besides, in the store itself, clothes get dusty and dirty.
The third reason
It is important to remember about the dyes used to color the materials. Some of them contain dangerous chemicals - formaldehyde, which are recognized as carcinogens.
All these substances can cause allergic reactions (especially if a person has sensitive skin) if the items are not washed.
