Usually, to replace a laminate board, you need to completely change the sheet up to the wall. This is a very long and expensive job. However, there is an option to simplify the task.

To replace a laminate board, you need to prepare a grinder, wood glue, a hand-held circular saw, tape and weights.

First, you need to cover the damaged board around the perimeter with construction tape.

This will help protect the remaining whole boards. Next, use a saw to cut the board crosswise. Remove the board pieces very carefully.

The new board will not fit in place of the old one right away, as the tongue of the lock gets in the way.

The adjacent board can be moved slightly by tapping with a rubber mallet.

You can shorten the end tenon a little. If these manipulations do not bring success, the end tenon is completely removed.

The new board is fixed in place using quick-drying wood glue.

The product is applied along the perimeter of the product. A long groove should be left clean. The tenon is inserted without glue.

After the procedure, a weight should be placed on the new board. It should stand for at least 12 hours. Then the board can be used.
