If you encounter such a nuisance as a clogged sink, the first thing you will probably do is try to eliminate it using folk methods.
One of these methods involves the use of lemon juice.
In fact, the juice squeezed from sour citrus is not able to remove a blockage in the sink: this method is a myth, although an attractive one, experienced housewives are sure.
This is because sinks usually get clogged with food debris that gets into the pipes after washing dishes. Lemon juice is powerless against these debris, so this advice is useless.
Instead, you should try another folk method.
Pour three tablespoons of baking soda into the drain, add a glass of vinegar, wait until the foam goes away, and rinse the sink with water.
If this does not help, then the blockage is more serious than it might seem at first glance.
In this case, mix dishwashing detergent and any chlorine-containing detergent in a 1:1 ratio.
Pour this mixture into the drain and wait a few hours, then rinse with water. This will wash away the grease from the walls of the drain, and in addition to everything, disinfect it.
