One way to help eliminate the repulsive smell coming from the “insides” of the washing machine is to use specialized cleaning products, which can be found in stores in various options and price categories.
As a rule, the product must be poured into the powder compartment, after which it is necessary to start the service washing cycle.
After using this product, it is recommended to run another empty wash cycle without adding any cleaning agents to consolidate the effect.
But why spend money when you can solve the problem with a product you already have at home?
A popular method for cleaning a washing machine from unpleasant odors and scale involves using vinegar.
To do this, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar to the detergent compartment and run a long wash cycle at high temperature. After the wash cycle has started, after about 10 minutes, pause the process and leave the machine in this state for one hour.
After washing, the filter must be thoroughly rinsed.
This method can be used no more than once every four months to avoid damaging the machine parts.
In addition to washing with vinegar, you can wipe all external parts of the machine with a vinegar solution (1 tablespoon per 0.5 liters of water), and then run an empty wash cycle on economy mode to dry all parts.
