Still think that all you need to hang a picture on the wall is a free spot and a nail?
Let me break your beliefs – what about proper care of canvases? You want to keep them fresh even when it comes to banal posters, let alone real works of art.
To brush off light dust that has settled on the canvases, it is permissible to use only soft napkins made of velvet or flannel.
Even the movements are important when wiping dust from a painting – they should be directed in one direction and should not be too intense.
To clean the paint layer, it is recommended to avoid using brushes, wet wipes and vacuum cleaners, as they can damage the surface of the painting.
Even those brushes with soft bristles can scratch the surface. In addition, no brush absorbs dust - instead, they shake it into the air, and from there the dust particles safely fall back onto the canvas.
You can use a vacuum cleaner to clean the painting, but only on the back side.
But even in this case, you should use minimum power and avoid contact of the brush with the painting.
