How to quickly remove the smell from canned food jars: there is an easy way

Let's imagine a situation: you ate pickled cucumbers or marinated tomatoes and wanted to use the empty glass container in the future.

In such a situation, you will probably encounter the following problem: there is an unpleasant smell coming from the jar.

Despite thoroughly wiping the container with a kitchen sponge and cleaning agent, the excess “aroma” will most likely remain.

And there is nothing surprising about this: when preserving vegetables, vinegar was used, which has a sharp and specific smell.

However, there is one little trick that can solve the problem.

How to neutralize odor

The ideal result will be achieved if you use mustard powder.

Pour plain water into a glass container and add a little of the above-mentioned bulk product (1 teaspoon will be quite sufficient).

Next, close the container with a lid and shake thoroughly.

Then the contents must be poured out. The next step is to wash the glass container with a simple liquid (without any additives).

The result of the procedure will most likely be the complete removal of excess odor from the jar. After this, the container will again become suitable for use in everyday life and cooking.
