How to Peel Kiwi Properly and Quickly: 3 Basic Methods

They say that kiwi contains no less vitamin C than lemon. The exotic fruit has long ceased to surprise buyers, but not many know how to peel it.

An unripe fruit can be easily peeled with a knife, like a potato. A soft and ripe kiwi can easily be maimed.

For those who don’t know, we’ll tell you that there are three working methods for cleaning this healthy fruit.

Method one: like potatoes

There is nothing surprising here. This is how you can clean unripe fruits. But if the kiwi is ripe and soft, then this option will no longer work.

Besides, unripe kiwi is not as tasty and juicy, so it is better to let the fruit sit for a while in a paper bag.

To make it ripen faster, put one apple, pear or banana inside.

Method two: with a spoon

To do this, simply cut the fruit into two halves. Lengthwise or crosswise – depending on the size.

Then insert a teaspoon between the skin and the pulp, push it in deep and make a movement around the axis.

This method will work even if the kiwi needs to be used for salads or other dishes. If the kiwi needs to be peeled only for eating, it is easier to eat it right away with a spoon.

Method three: boil

Not the most useful, but quite effective method. You need to take a suitable pan, fill it with water and bring it to a boil.

Then we throw the fruit into boiling water and after exactly 30 seconds we take it out and place it in cold water.

After a sharp temperature change, the skin can be removed even without a knife, but we won’t say how healthy the fruit will be.
