Many of us have already encountered the problem of mold forming on food products after they have been opened.
For example, a jar of jam gradually becomes covered with a film and you have to throw the top layer into the trash can.
This phenomenon can occur with jam, preserves, tomato paste and pickles.
There is one simple trick that can solve this problem - we will need several pieces of gauze with a diameter larger than a standard jar.
Apply mustard to one layer of gauze and cover with a second piece of material - you need to place them so that the gauze hangs inside, but the edges can be pressed with a lid.
After this, it is enough to close the jar with a lid, and it will last for another couple of weeks.
We have previously written about how many years canned goods can be stored and when cans can be thrown away.
