Many summer residents still prefer to use solid fuel for heating their premises.

Firewood is a stable and reliable source of heat if a stove is installed in the house.

But an experienced gardener knows that not all trees are suitable for burning in a firebox, even if it is made of durable metal.

It seems that all trees burn the same way, but they have different heat capacity and heat output.

What kind of wood is better not to put in the stove at home?

In most cases, we choose birch, which has sufficient heat output for the stove.

But there are types of trees that are not recommended to be burned:

  1. Willow. It contains a fairly large amount of moisture and resin, which can lead to contamination of the chimney.
  2. Aspen. It has low energy efficiency and high consumption. Interesting fact – these firewoods can be used to clean the chimney.
  3. Fir. Low heat output and too much smoke.

It is not recommended to burn oak wood, as it may cause the stove to break down.
