Experienced mushroom pickers told us what needs to be done to prevent your hands from turning black when cleaning boletuses, and also how to clean them afterwards.

To prevent your hands from turning black

To make it easier to wash your hands after cleaning mushrooms, you need to take care of this in advance.

Cleaning boletus mushrooms in medical gloves is not the most convenient way. They tear, your hands sweat in them and it is simply inconvenient.

It is much easier to use folk tricks.

1. Before cleaning mushrooms, treat your hands with a rich hand cream or vegetable oil about 20-30 minutes before. The same method can be used when picking mushrooms in the forest.

2. To avoid getting your nails dirty, rub them over a bar of toilet soap so that the soap remains under your nails. It will protect them from dirt.

How to wash blackened hands

First of all, you can use any acidic plants (containing acid).

From berries it can be strawberries or wild strawberries, sea buckthorn. From plants - sorrel and rhubarb, tomato fruits.

Leaves, fruits or berries are simply rubbed in the hands, rubbed into the skin, then washed with soap and water and cream is applied.

It is not necessary to use fresh berries and fruits. You can also use frozen ones.

But the simplest and most accessible way is lemon.

If these remedies do not help, you can use citric acid or vinegar.
