How Old Jam Helps Get Rid of Flies: A Clever Trick

If it so happens that you haven’t managed to finish a couple of spoons of jam and the rest of the treat has gone bad, don’t rush to get rid of it.

It doesn’t matter what kind of sweet you have at your disposal – strawberry, raspberry or blackcurrant: any jam will do for saying goodbye to the insolent flies that have decided to take over your home.

To do this, you will have to make a trap for annoying insects.

It's done in no time.

First, stock up on a 1-liter plastic bottle. Using a knife, you need to cut off the top of the container.

Pour the same old jam into the bottom of the bottle (you can also use fresh jam if you don’t mind).

Make sure that the sweet mass completely covers the bottom.

Now insert the cut neck into the bottle so that the cork (by the way, it needs to be removed) is facing down.

All that's left is to seal the edges of the bottle with tape, and the deadly device for flies is ready. This way, the buzzing insects will have no escape routes.
